Miles Webber, Partner and Co-head of ESG at FGS Global
Miles is a Partner and Co-Head of ESG at FGS Global, one of the world’s largest communication advisory businesses. He joined from Baytree Advisors, a specialist ESG & corporate communications consultancy he founded after stepping down in 2019 from the UK’s largest listed commercial property company, Landsec, where he was Group Corporate Affairs &Sustainability Director.
Miles joined Landsec in May 2015 where he was a member of the Executive Committee. Under his leadership, Landsec was the first FTSE100 business to set a science-based carbon reduction target in 2016.
Before joining Landsec, Miles was the Head of External Affairs for General Electric (GE) in the UK, having spent almost a decade at GE, holding a number of roles across various parts of the business, including GE Capital and GE Money.
Prior to GE, Miles spent five years as Director of Public Affairs for the US investment bank Merrill Lynch in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Between 1997 and 1999, he was Head of Campaigns & Communications at the MSF Trade Union, and before then worked the British Labour Party.
Miles is a trustee of the JPR, the UJIA and is co-President of the international development charity, Inspirasia. He serves on the board of the London Bubble Theatre and the SW Trust. He is the former founder of the Foreign Policy Centre and serves on the board of the Brymore Group and the Westminster Forum. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Regal London and a life fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
