Capacity building - mental health first aid

The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector is collaborating with Richmond Foundation to provide a number of Mental Health First aid courses.

Voluntary organisation members have the option to attend either a live or an online training course according to their preferences. 

‍In the Mental Health First Aid course, VO members will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

Course 1 - Live sessions

Part 1 – Monday 2nd October 2023
Part 2 – Wednesday 4th October 2023
Part 3 – Monday 9th October 2023
Part 4 – Wednesday 11th October 2023

Time – 17:00 – 20:00

Location – Richmond Foundation Training Centre, Qormi

Course 2 - Online sessions  

Part 1 – Wednesday 1st November 2023
Part 2 – Wednesday 8th November 2023
Part 3 – Wednesday 15th November 2023
Part 4 – Wednesday 22nd November  2023

Time – 17:00 – 20:00

Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of 2 volunteers. Each course will have an intake of a maximum of 20 participants, hence VOs are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible to secure their spot.

Please make sure you are available to attend the full course in order to be granted the certificate at the end of the course.
