Join Blue Door Education for an art exibition during this year's Refugee Week!

“Port-Portes-Portraits” is Aleksandar Gligić’s first solo exhibition where he presents his work in collaboration with Blue Door Education and UNHCR Malta for World Refugee Day 2023.

Aleks was a volunteer at Blue Door Education from 2020 - 2022, and was responsible for greeting students at the door every Monday and Thursday. During this time the idea was born to photograph students by the door, a door which is not only well known in the migrant community, but also portrays a strong message about opening doors, the importance of inclusion, and giving hope away from home.

This exhibition will run for ten days from 15 - 24 June, including World Refugee Day and World Refugee Week, celebrating our students and how they enrich our lives and our communities.

Blue Door Education has been offering hope away from home with free literacy, language and lifeskill classes for refugees and asylum seekers on an ongoing basis for the last ten years.

Sponsors: UNHCR Malta
In-kind support: Moviment Graffitti and Valletta Local Council.
