Refugee Week 2026

Founded in 2022, Refugee Week Malta is a community-led festival dedicated to fostering a more welcoming and inclusive Malta. By championing connection, dialogue, and shared experiences, the initiative seeks to strengthen the island’s tradition of hospitality while building greater understanding across communities.

Through partnerships with artists, civil society organisations, and local communities, the festival creates meaningful platforms and events for engagement on understanding migration, asylum, and displacement. It brings together people from diverse backgrounds to exchange perspectives, inspire reflection, and contribute to a more cohesive and forward-looking society.

This month-long programme is open to everyone, offering near 30 events designed to inspire connection, learning, and meaningful dialogue. We encourage local organisations to support employee participation as part of their commitment to community engagement and inclusion, while inviting individuals to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience diverse perspectives, cultures, and stories throughout the month.
