Eden Leisure Foundation – Application for Support are Open!

The Eden Leisure Foundation is proud to support registered voluntary organisations working in three key areas: environmental protection, community outreach, and the preservation of Malta’s national heritage.

They are now inviting proposals for 2027 partnerships and welcome applications for both financial and non-financial support. Applications close on November 30th.

What They are Looking For:

a wide range of projects aligned with our core pillars:

• Small-scale projects:
  • Aim to select approximately 5-10 projects costing €200 – €2,000
• Medium-scale projects:
  • Aim to select approximately 5 projects costing €2,000 – €10,000.
• Large-scale projects:
  • A community, environmental, or heritage project of approximately €40-50,000 (to be selected as the beneficiary of our annual gala event or a similar initiative which will take place at the END of 2027, therefore funds will need to be used after this date).
  • 1 heritage-focused project between €25,000 – €50,000 will be selected for 2027.  This project would need to start in 2027 and should take up to 2 years to be completed.  Higher-cost projects can be considered, taking place over a longer period.

Note: Large-scale projects must be self-contained and not a subset of a larger initiative.

We encourage organisations to submit multiple proposals. Eden may choose to support more than one per applicant.

Beyond Funding:

Eden place strong value on partnerships that offer more than just a funding relationship. Proposals that include opportunities for the following, are particularly encouraged and may be prioritised:

• Collaborative fundraising
• Staff volunteering
• In-kind support including advertising support or other use of Eden Leisure Group’s resources that will benefit the organisation.
• Educational or awareness-building activities
• Opportunities to pay the VO for services rendered or purchased products

Requests for support will be reviewed by a selection committee, applicants may be asked for additional information to support the application.  Due to the large number of applications, it will not be possible to accommodate all requests.  Applicants will be advised of the decision taken in due course.
