There are a number of events and initiatives being organised this Women's Day. Have a look to see which ones you wish to attend and support.

8th March marks International Women’s Day, a global occasion whereby women’s achievements, be they social, cultural, political and/or economic, are celebrated. This day also marks a call to action to further gender equality and women’s empowerment, and also asks for those accomplishments to be reflected upon and for society worldwide to continue to strive for a greater momentum towards gender equality.

Women’s Health & Wellbeing EXPO– 4th March

Join the Women For Women Foundation on the 4thMarch at Villa Arrigo at the Women’s Health & Wellbeing EXPO!

A fundraising event consisting of brunch with talks by women's health experts in the fields of contraception, fertility, sexual health, mental health, menopause and HRT, including promotional expo stands from Malta's leading companies in women's health and Well-being -Vivian, Alf. Gera, VJ Salomone, Prohealth, MINT, HOPE-IVF Clinic, Atlas Insurance, the Malta Florist, People and Skin, AMAI and many more.

FIDEM’s International Women’s Day Conference – 8th March

Join FIDEM Charity Foundation on the 8thMarch at Corinthia, St George’s Bay for their International Women’s Day Conference for an informed debate with some of Malta’s leading experts, including a special address by Roberta Metsola, to explore how the transformative power of education can stamp out gender-based prejudice.

Art + Feminism at Blitz for International Women’s Day – 9th & 10th March

Visit Art + Feminism at Blitz, an international project aimed at improving content on women and the arts on Wikipedia and encouraging women’s participation in the encyclopaedia. The project’s main event is an editing workshop – Edit-a-thon – which brings people together to learn how to edit Wikipedia to create new articles and improve existing content on women and the arts.

The workshop shall take place on 2 days:

  • 9th March 2018  15:30 - 18:30
  • 10th March 2018 10:00 - 16:00
