That’s a Wrap – 2025!

Now in our third year of operations, we’ve hit some exciting milestones and none of it would have been possible without our incredible community. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission and continues to push corporate responsibility forward in Malta.

Here’s a look at what shaped our year, and a sneak peek at what’s coming in 2026!

Annual Conference – Fourth Edition 

Our 4th Annual Conference and Impact Fair, themed “Make it Happen”, took place on 25 March at Corinthia St George’s Bay and it truly lived up to its name. We brought together business leaders, NGOs, philanthropists, and sustainability experts for a full day of discussions, ideas, and action.

A highlight of the morning was a special video message from Fatma Samba Diouf Samoura, Secretary General of FIFA. The energy continued with engaging panel discussions featuring voices like former President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, Olympic swimmer Neil Agius, and SiGMA Foundation’s Keith Marshall.

Attendees also enjoyed

• The well-loved NGO Pitch Fest,
• An Impact Fair featuring 37 voluntary organisations,
• Hands-on workshops covering ESG, impact measurement, stakeholder engagement, and CSR

Participants voted for their favourite organisation, and this year’s winner, IVY, took home a €5,000 prize.

The Second Giving Report Malta

A major highlight of 2025 was the launch of our Second Giving Report Malta, mapping out the latest trends in philanthropy across businesses and NGOs. With expanded data and fresh insights, this edition takes an even closer look at who gives, why they give, and how giving continues to evolve locally.

Some standout findings:

• Businesses are increasingly aligning giving efforts with their values and rising ESG expectations, leading to longer-term, more meaningful impact
• NGOs highlighted the importance of ongoing, strategic collaborations rather than one-off donations, emphasising that sustained partnerships drive deeper social change

Meetings and Events 2025

Beyond the conference and research work, we hosted a full calendar of events and workshops throughout the year. Here’s a quick recap:

1. 26^th February 2025 – held in collaboration with Tamara Fenech, Purpose Driven Strategist and Founder of Cosie Studio, this meeting brought together passionate individuals and businesses to dig deeper into the meaning of Purpose for a business.
2. 29^th April 2025 - a dynamic session led by ESG and Sustainability Solutionist Melanie Vella, designed for business leaders ready to embed sustainability into their corporate DNA.
3. 20^th May 2025 – Impact experts Cécile Sevrain and Hedda Pahlson-Moller from TIIME delivered a powerful workshop exploring how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can evolve from a checkbox exercise into a transformative force for value creation.
4. 1^st October 2025 - The Annual Networking evening for members was held at Malta International Contemporary Art Space in Floriana.
5. 11^th November 2025 - the event featured two business leaders and their respective NGO partners sharing how they co-create impact and support each other in making a positive impact in Malta.

 Academy’s second Annual General Meeting

On 23 June, we hosted our second AGM over a lovely networking breakfast at Phoenicia Malta. Members had the chance to look back on 2024 milestones, share feedback, and help shape our plans for 2025 and 2026.

A key moment of the morning was the election of our new Board of Administrators, who will serve from 1 July 2025 for the next two years. We welcomed new faces, renewed commitments from existing board members, and thanked our outgoing administrators for their invaluable service.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re gearing up for another full year, expect high-level meetings, workshops, and events covering Corporate Responsibility, Employee Engagement, Impact Communication, and plenty more. Stay tuned through our website and social media for updates.
