This study is based on the B Impact Assessment, B LAB’s digital self-assessment tool for companies, often referred to as the BIA.

Stepping away from the traditional focus on operational excellence towards an intrinsic creation of positive impact for people and the planet, the rise of Impact Bunsiness Models signals a real paradigm shift in sustainability. A new direction which requires companies to navigate contrary winds, faced with growing pressure to embed the most pressing issues of our time (such as climate change, biodiversity, social inclusion...) into their business model, while risking being called out by stakeholders for impact washing.
