Green Fingers Club Malta
Educating, empowering and inspiring people to take action so that together we can make Malta green again
Green Fingers Club is an educational demonstration site where the most depleted land is being regenerated into a forest. In three years, they have turned white dust into soil, started a beyond organic vegetable garden, and planted hundreds of young trees and counting!
Their Mission is to educate, empower and inspire people to take action, so that Together We Can Make Malta Green Again.
Everyone is welcome to come and learn, in return for a helping hand. Help them by Adopting a Tree or by organising your CSR Team Building Activities with them.
Most volunteers that start with them leave to start their own regenerative projects around Malta and in foreign countries. In addition, they educate and empower businesses, students and NGOs with simple steps on how to live sustainably, towards a zero carbon footprint, to guarantee a better future for young generations.

Team Building Activities with Green Fingers Club.
The Green Fingers Club is an educational demonstration site located at Fomm ir-Rih, Bahrija, where the most depleted land is being regenerated into a forest. They offer a variety of Team Building Activities, among which:
- Farm Tour - tour unique ecological designs on the land, while discovering how we grow and care for rare native trees, medicinal wild plants and pesticide-free vegetables. Learn about innovative rainwater catchment and composting methods that make such trees and plants thrive in an arid climate. This experience features fascinating innovations such as how we turn kitchen waste into compost, a water-less composting toilet, a tree nursery, a farm room that keeps cool in Summer and cosy in Winter, and how we regenerate white dust into soil! The 'Farm Tour' can be a detailed 2-hour activity or a quick 30 minute introduction to any of the below activities. Each activity is between 1.5 hours and 2 hours long:
- Olive Oil tasting - savour the most exquisite local extra virgin olive oil, paired with traditional Maltese ftira, “ġbejniet” (sheep cheeselets) and native olives. There is also the possibility for your unique clients to purchase extra virgin olive oil, native olives, ġbejniet and any other native product (your choice).
- Ancient Plant Wisdom - we will tour wild plants and trees growing on the land, and learn how they were used in the past and how we can use them today!
- Learning about Trees - Discover how we grow and use the indigenous trees at Green Fingers Club! Participants will also sow seeds to easily start growing trees at home.
- Volunteering Day - we will get our hands dirty! After touring the land, we will split into groups, and I will be walking around guiding your colleagues. Come and learn through practice!
- How to Grow Food at Home - We will build a garden bed together! Whether in a yard, rooftop, window or balcony, you will gain the confidence to start growing veggies and herbs at home within days!
- Composting Workshop - Learn how to build a Composting Bin and about different composting methods at Green Fingers Club, how we turn kitchen waste into rich black compost thanks to our Worm Farm, how we make our own Liquid Fertiliser, and how we use a composting toilet to save water to fertilise the trees for free.
- Zero Waste Workshop - Learn how to reduce waste and packaging, how to compost kitchen waste at home and how to use eco-friendly alternatives, including how to make your own toothpaste, cosmetics and deodorant from clean, simple ingredients, and how to naturally wash clothes and clean the home!
- How to Live Happier and Healthier - How to detox your body and surroundings, eating the right foods, the right mental attitude, minimalism, making your own natural cosmetics, and most importantly, how to find happiness in your present situation!
- How to Find Your Life Purpose - Even at a riper age! We will explore how to be of service to humanity and to this beloved planet, to find our true calling.
- Permaculture for Dry Lands - learning how easy it is to live a sustainable lifestyle, transform abandoned land into an organic food garden, how to capture rainwater, and how to heal our World, our body and the communities around us.
