Ronald McDonald House Charities
RMHC Malta is the local chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities, a global organisation dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children and their families.
Established in 2012, we are a registered Maltese charity committed to “Keeping Families Close” by providing educational and therapeutic support to children and young people facing intellectual, developmental, or social challenges.
At our purpose-built Learning Centre in Qawra, we host a variety of specialised programmes that help children gain essential life skills, support their education, and enhance their quality of life. We also work closely with families and other voluntary organisations to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Our Programmes
At our Learning Centre, we provide a safe, inclusive space where children and families can access:
- Educational Support: Helping children cope better at school and improve their learning outcomes.
- Therapeutic Services: Including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support.
- Parent & Carer Training: Equipping families with tools to support their children’s development.
- Health & Well-being Sessions: Promoting mental and physical wellness for children and their families.
- Motor Sensory Room: A new initiative designed to support children with sensory processing needs.
- Community Talks & Workshops: Like our Building Bridges series, which fosters awareness and inclusion.
All services are free of charge, ensuring accessibility for families in need.
