SOS Malta
Aiding people experiencing times of crisis and empowering them by providing support services and opportunities to implement development and change in their country to ensure a better quality of life.
SOS Malta is a non governmental organisation working in Malta and overseas. It works to assist peoples through projects of a social and charitable nature, and provides assistance to the poor helping them to improve quality of life. SOS also helps to enhance the knowledge and skills of those it serves, advocates on behalf of the poor, promotes models of good care and practice and works with local and international NGO’s in order to achieve its aims.

Take part in ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
The course equips participants with practical skills to identify signs of suicide risk and provide timely, effective support to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts.
Ideal for mental health professionals, HR teams, managers, and community leaders, the course covers risk assessment, safety planning, and proven intervention techniques.
Participants gain a 20-page workbook, wallet card, awareness materials, 15 CPD hours, and a certificate of completion.
- Sessions: 1–2 Sept & 4–5 Sept 2025, 09:00–17:30, at the centrally located MCVS Hub, Paola.
- Fee: €590 per participant, with a special offer (For every 2 paying participants, a 3rd joins free)
Please note: Through the Jobsplus “Investing in Skills” scheme, private organisations, NGOs, and self-employed individuals may apply for a subsidy of the course fee. Applications must be submitted directly by the organisation and filed at least 7 calendar days before the start of the course.
