
Daniel Borg

Mr Daniel Borg is an experienced policy expert with over two decades of public and private sector leadership across economic development, regulatory affairs, and business advocacy. Currently, he serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Gozo Business Chamber, leading strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, EU project participation, and policy formulation to support Gozitan enterprises and regional development.
His background includes senior policy roles at the Ministry for Gozo and the Malta Communications Authority, with a focus on economic impact assessments, state aid schemes, rural development, and EU regulatory frameworks. Mr Borg contributed to major national initiatives, including the eurochangeover, Gozo’s application for the European Quality Coast Award and the formulation of the regulatory framework of Malta’s postal services. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy (Distinction) from the University of Malta and has lectured in public management and business policy. He also serves on national boards, including the Gozo Regional Development Authority, the Gozo Regional Committee, and JobsPlus, and on the technical committee of INSULEUR.
A strong advocate for collaboration, innovation, and community-based development, Mr Daniel Borg is passionate about supporting sustainable growth in small island regions and bringing strategic insight into policymaking and business leadership.
